Members must be at least 13 years old to participate in most group exercise classes. Classes with a are open to anyone 7+ as long as they are actively participating in the class alongside a parent. Y-WORKOUT ON MAIN: 9/9-9/13 Join your Y Fitness Instructors for a week of outside fitness and fun on the courthouse lawn. Each night will feature a different fitness class that is FREE and open to the community! We will have a modified evening class schedule here at the YMCA during this event. Class Descriptions AFYAP (Arthritis Foundation YMCA Aquatic Program): This water exercise class focuses on specific joint and muscle exercises that improve range-of-motion, strength, and flexibility. AM H20: A full body water workout designed for all ages and fitness levels - focusing on cardiovascular and strength conditioning Aqua Tabata: High intensity interval drills to challenge and change your body. The aquatic atmosphere reduces almost all impact! Aqua Zumba : The popular high-cardio dance class has moved to the water! Using water as resistance, you can get a great lowimpact workout while having fun in the pool. Ballet Sculpt: Ballet-style movements that incorporate cardio, strength, and flexibility while emphasizing core posture Cardio Fusion: A fitness class that incorporates strength training moves combined with cardiovascular exercises to provide participants with a well-rounded total body workout. Cardio Jam: A high energy class that incorporates aspects of all things cardio! Dance, kickboxing, interval training and more! Core: An express core strength workout to improve muscle tone, posture and core stability. Core & Flex: A core strengthening class that improves muscle control, flexibility, coordination, strength & tone. Similar to Pilates. Deep H20: Using flotation belts for support, Deep H20 minimizes virtually all impact for a great workout that does not overstress the bones and joints. Flow Yoga: A Yoga class designed to increase strength and flexibility through flowing from one pose to the next Group Cycle: Join the ride! Speed, resistance and more create an exciting and challenging indoor cycle experience. H20 Sculpt: This class combines both shallow and deep water exercises for a great muscle sculpting workout. Low Impact: This class utilizes basic low impact step and/or floor aerobics and incorporates a strength and flexibility portion at the end of class. Mobility & Balance: Increase endurance in this low impact class. Participants have the option to sit or stand while exercising great for beginners or those with limited mobility to increase endurance. New Waves: A shallow water class done with a variety of upper and lower body exercises designed to increase both strength and endurance. Silver Splash: This water fitness class provides a great opportunity to socialize with friends while keeping fit! Step & Core: A step aerobics class that will get your heart pumping and your feet moving, ending in a core strength segment Tabata: A high-intensity interval training class designed to produce maximum results in minimum time. Total Body: This class incorporates resistance training and/or cardiovascular exercises to challenge your total body. Water Fitness: This shallow water aerobics class is great for building strong heart, lungs and muscles. Y-Stretch: Stretching, breathing & moving to help increase flexibility, strength, relaxation to enhance the spirit, mind and body. Zumba : This high-energy dance fitness class will get you moving and shaking! Zumba Gold: A lower-impact option of our regular Zumba Fitness class--ideal for beginners or seniors but open to all
