THE RANGE OF PRODUCTS
The main type of equipment offered to customers is hydraulic downhole motors used for drilling deviated and horizontal wells as well as multilateral wells. All the products are certified in accordance with local and international requirements. Certificates of accordance such as ISO 9001 and API Specs are available. The design of downhole motors is protected by patents of Russian Federation. Various motor modifications are manufactured ranging from 43240 mm, both bent (with an adjustable and rigid bent) and straight. Bent sub range varies from 000 to 300. Positive Displacement Motors (PDM) of 120, 127, 172, 195 and 240 mm are widely used for horizontal drilling. Motors of 95 mm are used for side tracking and drilling. Motors of 60, 75, 85, 95, 106 mm are used for well intervention activities. Motors with adjustable bent are in great demand and they have wide application: besides drilling oil and gas wells, they are efficiently applied for building passages under railways and highways, rivers and other objects during oil pipeline construction. In 2009 special R-Wall sections (stator covered with even resin layer) have been applied to manufacturing of the motors. There are special versions of the motors for high-temperature wells. SERVICE
RADIUS-SERVICE COMPANY HAS A LEADING POSITION IN JARS RENT AND AFTER-SALE SERVICES IN RUSSIA.
Since 2004 Radius-Servis has been manufacturing, selling and renting drilling and fishing jars produced jointly with Canadian company Wenzel Downhole Tolls Ltd. Jars fleet tool sizes range
JARS PURPOSE:
Jars are intended to release of the tools stuck in the hole, by jarring upon the sticking area. Drilling jar is included into the drilling stem assembly bottom; this ensures jarring action starting immediately after sticking occurs. Fishing jar is used for stuck releasing exclusively, and is mounted into fishing assembly. Maximum jar operation bottom temperature is 135C, but after changing of conventional sealing elements (rings, collars) for thermalresistant ones, jar can be operated in the holes with bottom temperature up to 230C.

Cumulative operating time of Radius-Service jars fleet exceeds circulation 200 000 hours, more than 600 repairs were made. Highly skilled staff and essential equipment are the factors ensured Radius-Service to repair jars of various designs and manufactorers.
Jars can be applied to: Directional drilling; Horisontal drilling; Failures elimination; Well repairs (workover and maintenance operations). According to knocking mechanism operating principle, jars are ranged as follows: Hydraulic mechanical jars (HM) Hydraulic jars (H) Hydraulic jars allow extending jar inner opening to maximum limits. According to knocking mechanism direction, jars are ranged as follows: Single-action (up only): indicated by figure 1 or without indication; Double-action (up and down): indicated by figure 2.
The jars offered by Radius-Service have a reliable design, which ensures long operating life and critical stuck equipment releasing. There are examples of continuous jarring during two whole days, which means more than 600 strikes, after which stuck equipment is released.
The jars are successfully operated by following Russian and foreign drilling and service companies: Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Halliburton, PetroAliance, Eursia, Orenburgneft, Technoburservis, SSK, Nedra, Katobneft, Tyumenpromgeofizika, etc.

Hydraulic mechanical drilling jar The jar is intended for striking up and down. The jar of this design combines features of both hydraulic and mechanical drilling jars types. Its mechanical section includes mechanical latch equipped with Bellville springs pack which prevents accidental jar action during drilling and round-trip activities. Upon customer's request various latch pull-out forces available within the force range specified in technical characteristics can be installed. The hydraulic section includes a valve, equipped with dispenser. Up-strike force is regulated by tool pulling force variation during hydraulic dwell (delay). Splined jar connection ensures reliable torque transfer during string rotation drilling. Hydraulic drilling jar A distinctive feature of these jars is an absence of mechanical latch equipped with Bellville springs pack, which allows extending jar inner opening and ensures geophysical equipment passability. There are two valves equipped with dispensers in the hydraulic section of the jar. This feature allows jarring upon the sticking area at both directions with a different force. Due to this feature these jars can be used in extremely deviated wells with high friction factor, where jar recharge axial force can be hardly obtained. Splined jar connection ensures reliable torque transfer during string rotation drilling. Hydraulic fishing jar The jar is intended to striking upward. The jar consists of hydraulic and splined sections isolated from each other by a pack of wearresistant sealings. The hydraulic section includes a valve equipped with a dispenser. This section ensures strike force regulation by tool pulling force variation during hydraulic dwell (delay). Splined jar connection ensures reliable torque transfer during string rotation drilling.

SHOCK TOOL
Shock Tool effectively reduces impact loading on the bit to extend bit life and reduce bit trips. By isolating bit vibrations from the drill string, the shock tool will reduce lateral and torsional drill string vibrations, and related fatigue damage of failure of the rotary connections. The shock tool allows optimum bit speed to be used under rough drilling conditions, increasing the rate of penetration. BENEFITS: Isolates bit induced vibrations from the drill string Low friction torsional drive permits free vertical movement Reduces wear and tear on rig and equipment, and fatigue on drill collars and drill pipe

R-WALL power section with even wall thickness
In order to increase torque of downhole motors manufacturers have been following the trend of increasing the length of power sections. A few years back the length of 3m for power sections were thought to be a norm. Nowadays, 4, 5 and even 6m are considered as new standards for motor sections. However, further increase in length is unviable as it comes to technological aspects of drilling, especially horizontal drilling.

Thus, to meet a growing demand of complex drilling activities companies provide the industry with new solutions. One of them is power sections with uniform rubber wall thickness. This means greater torque (50%) and horsepower which makes improved penetration rates possible.

SERVICE
Normally rotors are milled. Another possibility is forging. Forged rotors are not dimensionally stable enough in the axial direction when it comes to high driving forces and high pressures, which are normal in mud motors. The drive torque deforms the rotor because of its helical shape and therefore the rotor gets shorter. This could result in the calculated pitch length of the rotor deviating from the stator pitch. Leaks and drive power losses would be the consequence.
MILLED SHAPE STATOR
MONOHULL STATOR
Very strong materials and the sophisticated composite design provide you with a new generation of power sections, however, which will give you every advantage including very high torsion strength. The new rotor of the power section is made up of a very strong core tube, which is encased by a stainless steel jacket tube. This jacket tube forms the necessary, very accurate interference profile of the rotor. Good profile accuracy (+/- 0.02 inches) is made possible with the new non-cutting electrochemical manufacturing method.

Thus, this new electrochemical method of manufacturing has been proved to be efficient and reliable. Downhole motors with new power section have showed excellent performance during field trials. A significant increase in penetration rate has been noticed. The maximum manufacturing length of the new power section is 6 meters or 20 feet

For the time being, Radius-Service manufactures the power sections of the following sizes: 95 mm, 106 mm, 172 mm and 195 mm. Indeed, due to higher cost downhole motors with the new power sections do not intend to replace motors with conventional rotors. However, in some cases such as drilling of deviated wells with small radius the R-Wall power sections do not have an alternative choice. Therefore, all improvements related to R-Wall power sections lead to a major benefit for the directional driller: increased reliability and longer drilling runs can be achieved at affordable costs.
