Phonics
Review
This week the students will review the letters G - X with the jolly phonics CD, flash cards and non jolly phonics flashcards. For the first 15 minutes of the lesson the students will be playing matching games to help students to identify the sounds. Next semester the students will no longer be using the jolly phonics flashcards so this is a great way to introduce the non Jolly phonics flashcards gradually.

Game(s): Shape match: there will be a set of flashcards on the board and a set on the ground. Students have to match the object to the correct shape.

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
This week the students will be reintroduced to the fourth set of letters j, z, w, v, y and x. They will be reintroduced with the Jolly phonics flash cards and CD as well as the non Jolly Phonics flash cards. The students enjoyed the super double phonic game so much last week we will continue to play this game as the students continue to learn with it and have fun.
