Intern
Program:
At
Oracle,
we
are

the

professional

injured

Our
paid
intern
program
is
specifically
designed
to
aid
injured
veterans
of
the
campaigns
in
Afghanistan
and
Iraq
in
their
transition
to
a
career
in
the
private
or
public
sector.
Injured
veterans
accepted
into
our
program

work
closely

professionals
to
prepare
for
a

Interns
will
engage
in
on-the-job
training
in
fields
such
as
information
technology,
technical/systems
consulting,
technical
support,
finance,
human
resources,
sales,
marketing,
Oracle
Financials,
or
developmental
training
in
sales
and
customer
support.
About
the
Software
Test
Intern
Position:
The
Core
Appliance
and
Technology
Systems
team
is
comprised
of
~90
individuals
responsible
for
designing
and
developing
a
wide
variety
of
software
and
hardware
platforms
that
are
used
at
some
of
the
most
prestigious
and
interesting
companies
and
institutions
in
the
world.
This
organization
does
everything
from
file
system
engineering
for
projects
at
LLNL
(Nuclear
Ignition
Facility)
to
video
and
audio
archiving
at
the
library
of
congress.
They
currently
design
and
develop
very
low
latency
storage
and
the
software
that
protects,
transports
and
manages
data
and
information.
An
intern
in
this
organization
would
spend
time
on
each
of
the
major
projects
contributing
to
discussions,
designs
and
development,
testing
as
well
as
customer
interactions.
With
locations
around
the
world,
the
ideal
intern
would
be
working
in
a
fast
paced
and
dynamic
environment.
Relevant
technologies
include:
ZFS,
QFS,
SAM,
Encryption
and
Key
Management,
Mobility
computing,
high
performance
/
low
latency
storage,
problem
solving,
digital
communications,
networking,
backup
and
archiving
as
well
as
system
test
and
assembly.
Design,
develop,
troubleshoot
and
debug
tests
for
software
programs
for
applications,
tools,
storage,
etc.
Duties
and
tasks
are
standard
with
some
variation;
displays
understanding
of
roles,
processes
and
procedures.
Performs
Moderately
complex
problem
solving
with
assistance
and
guidance.
Standard
duties
include:
developing
test
cases
developing
tests
installing
and
configuring
test
systems
executing
tests
test
automation
tracking
and
reporting
test
metrics
triaging
failing
tests
opening
bug
reports
assisting
in
finding
the
root
cause
of
failures
Possible
job

that

this

direction
specialist)
Signal/communication,
Intelligence,
Operations,
Essentially
any
officer,
and
any
specialty
the
works
closely
with
technology
and
trouble
shooting.

not
a

College
degree
preferred;
technical
degree
is
very
helpful.
Assuming
the
candidate
is
willing
to
invest
time
in
their
education,
the
organization
will
train.
Knowledge,
Skills

Abilities:
As
an
intern
in
this
organization
you
will
need
to
demonstrate
the
ability
to
think
critically

This
group
solves
hard
problems
by
breaking

problem

subsets
of
the
problem

for

solutions.
These
problems

technology.
Additional
Information:
Hourly
wage
is
$25
per
hour.
This
is
a
40
hour
per
week
position.
