TUTORIAL Week 1: Compare and contrast the Educational System in Malaysia by using
appropriate graphic organizers

Week 2: Students present mind maps on the different branches of philosophy.

Week 4: Students compare and contrast between branches in Western Philosophy of


Education dan present them in class.

Week 5: In groups, students select any

one of the branches of Western Philosophy of Education which they consider to be the most appropriate to be used currently. Present rationale of selection/choice

Week 6: Choose an Islamic educational philosopher and state the background, opinion
and contribution towards education.

Week 7: Choose an Eastern educational philosopher and state the background, opinion
and contribution towards education.

Week 8: With the help of graphic organizer, compare and contrast the traditional ways
and modern ways in the western educational philosophy.

Week 9: Choose a western educational philosophy that hold into your position. State the
rationale for the selection of the educational philosophy.

Week 10: Elaborate the elements which can be seen in the national educational
philosophy and discuss the relationship with the Western, Islamic and Eastern educational philosophy.

Week 12: Discuss the efforts that you can do in order to equip yourself in fulfilling the
teachers educational philosophy.

Week 13: (a) Education is the key to the development of the world class capital. Discuss. (b) Discuss the contribution of one of the local education philosopher towards the
development of education in Malaysia.

Week 14: Describe the role of teachers in the implementation of teaching & learning
process in the line of the globalization.

Week 15: Compare and contrast the curriculum construction theory based on the
objective model and process model.

Week 16:
(a) Do reflective writings on the implementation of KBSR and KSSR and its aims towards Vision 2020 and present it in class (b) Discuss the current changes in the primary school curriculum (KSSR)
