Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter April 23, 2013

Pastors Notes:

THE LORD IS COMING BACK AGAIN! After the message Sunday morning, Ive had the old chorus we used to sing running through my mind. Oh our Lord is coming back to earth again. Yes our Lord is coming back to earth again. Satan will be bound a 1000 years, well have no tempter then. After Jesus shall come back to earth again! I am thankful for His promise. You and I have hope because He promised to come back and then we shall ever be with the Lord. Yet my heart is heavy. After hearing the Word of God delivered and after having the Holy Ghost give a personal invitation, there was no response around the altar. Ive prayed for the mercy of God to protect people and for the patience of God to be extended to people. But how long will the Lord wait? None of us are promised another moment. Whatever is done, must be done while the Lord is wooing and calling. Please..help me pray for a strong Holy Ghost conviction. Help me pray that people will not be able to resist the call of the Lord but will respond and make things right with Him. If we truly believe the Lord is coming back, those of us that believe on Him, should practice another important part of the Word. Be ye doers of the Word and no hearers only. In other words, our mission in life is not completed when we become born again. No, our mission has only started. We are to become witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ. The world around us is our mission field. Your next door neighbors, your friends, your [Link] are your mission field. JUST ASK them what they believe about Jesus..JUST ASK them if they would like to go to church with [Link] ASK them to sit with you and allow them to ask you questions. I think wed be surprised what may happen if we only asked them. A great opportunity to see many of our ministries in action this week. First, Thursday evening we have an awesome opportunity at outreach and worship. THE NELONS will be in concert with us, Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. What a great opportunity well have to open our doors to anyone that has wondered what Woodruff Church of God is about. Theyll be exposed to the greatest people anywhere around and theyll be blessed by the spirit of worship that fills our sanctuary. Then on Sunday, our Childrens Ministry will be in charge of the AM service and our youth in charge of the PM service. Again, a great opportunity for people to be exposed to our commitment to children and youth! So, do not allow these opportunities to pass you by. Be intentional in your decision to be part and to invite others to join you.
