Procedures:
1. Introduce unit and explain the project using the rubric and the direction sheet 2. Brainstorm ideas about experience with person who know that found the American dream & why. Ask students if they consider that is a social problem? 3. Assign to students causes why people immigrated. Each student has to have a different causes 4. Students will start to research about the American dream computers and books. 5. Teach students how to use power point. 6. Students will find the factor why people immigrated 7. Remind students how to research effectively. After students are done with their research, review tips on how to make a good PowerPoint Presentation 8. Modifications for Differentiated Instruction:
For gifted students, the teacher will have them create a PowerPoint as well as another visual of their choice. I will also encourage them to have more sources. For special education students, the teacher will not require them to have as many sources. They also will only have to research a few facts about their country.
