Creating Parts in Cadsoft Eagle

This document provides instructions for creating a new part in Cadsoft Eagle, including: 1) Creating a symbol for the part using tools like Wire and Pin in the Symbol editor. Pins can be renamed and the symbol should include the basic outline of the device. 2) Creating a footprint for the part by either copying an existing similar footprint or drawing it from dimensions in the datasheet using tools like Wire, Pad, and SMD. The footprint should be labeled with >NAME and >VALUE. 3) Combining the symbol and footprint into a single device by adding them in the Device editor and connecting corresponding pins and pads. The new part can then be used in schematics.
