OVERALL 2012 - 2014 GOALS: The initial goals are to have the committee continue on the same path as the previous biennium committee. We will attempt to grow the scope of the program to focus on providing undergraduates with, what we have found to be the biggest need, Career Counseling and potential Job Placement. Before we enter unchartered ground focused
on employment issues, we will obviously consult with National and others to make sure that we do not create any IRS issues. CURRENT QUARTER GOLAS: With the formation of a full committee, we anticipate: Training session for all liaisons scheduled for February 9th, 2013 Liaisons to contact all existing programs by chapter's Founders Day Weekend (February 16th, 2013 - February 24, 2013) via telephone and e-mail.

Liaisons to make sure that both alumni and undergraduate local mentoring program representatives have the necessary resources to continue the program for the 2012 / 2013 academic year. Updated database of Undergraduate and Alumni contacts will be generated and forwarded to National by February 28th, 2013 via DropBox.
Review all mentoring material currently available on Phi Psi Connect and update anything that seems outdated. These resources need to be concise and highly beneficial to anybody who accesses them. March 2013
NEXT QUARTER GOALS: Review the previously created matrix to see which chapters are ready to start a mentoring program in 2013. April 2013 Develop a survey for all mentees, which can be used to improve the scope of the overall program. April 2013 Update all information based on data collected from the biennium Chapter Excellence Program. (Accreditation) May 2013 Develop a survey for all mentors, which can be used to recruit additional alumni participates. May 2013 Generate a list of potential chapters to start a mentoring program in Fall 2013 / Spring 2014 by identifying key undergraduates and alumni to launch the program. June 2013 Integrate Mentoring into WWLS @ Butler University (June 26th - 29th, 2013)
FUTURE / ONGOING GOALS: The committee would like to see mentoring fully integrated into Phi Kappa Psi to the same degree as Philanthropy. With all the changes in the world today, it is even more important that our strong band can ne'er be broken. Mentoring was limited to a 1 hour break-out session during the last GAC rather than a full committee which would have allowed a large group of alumni and undergraduates help shape and define what the mentoring program should be within Phi Kappa Psi. WWLS, PLA, ALA, and other programs need to incorporate mentoring so that these lasting benefits can truly become a program practiced by all Phi Kappa Psi Chapters. Eventually, Mentoring should become part of the Phi Kappa Psi Accreditation. BENEFITS: The potential benefits of this program can be very far reaching, as Mentoring: Is something that most College and Universities cant offer
Is something that no other Greek organization has mastered Reengages alumni who have strayed from their Brotherly obligations Connects undergraduates to fellow brothers in the real world
These benefits need to be shared not only with our existing Chapters, but also with potential initiates, to further define what sets Phi Kappa Psi apart from non-Greeks and other Greek organizations. Respectfully Submitted, Alex A. LaRoche Coordinator of Mentoring
