The past

HYDROPNEUMATICS

Hydropneumatics was established in 1975 and engaged in the manufacture of flow elements such as measuring & restriction orifice plates & assemblies, flow nozzle assemblies, venturi tubes and tank safety equipments such as breather valves & flame arrestors. A partnership firm involving Mr. R C Narayanan (Ex Chief instrumentation engineer, M/s Humphreys & Glasgow (Jacobs), mumbai and Mr S K Kannan, Hydropneumatics has a strong design base and adopts sound manufacturing techniques. Flow elements manufactured by Hydropneumatics are designed to meet the requirements of ISO-5167, BS 1042 / BS EN ISO 5167, ISO TR 15377, ASME MFC 3m, ASME MFC 14m and other national and international standards. Over the years, Hydropneumatics has established themselves as one of the reputed companies having an excellent track record in India as well as overseas. It is registered with all major consultants and has a broad customer base in oil & gas, nuclear & thermal power & steel sectors apart from Oems.

The present
Pyro Electric Group of Companies has now acquired Hydropneumatics as a result of which; the company now operates as Hydropneumatics Private Limited. The manufacturing unit has been re-located in the vicinity of the existing Pyro units at Goa, a l o n g w i t h t h e machinery, test equipment, patterns, etc. Manufacturing and design know-how transfer has been accomplished.

Manufacturing Capabilities
Orifice plates of the sizes upto 54 (1350 N.B.) with plate outer diameter of 1550 mm in house Fabricated Venturi of the size 3000 n.b. Flow nozzles in P91 pipe material and ss316 element LBR approved work shop to obtain the ibr certifications for flow nozzles etc., for steam applications In house material testings for chemical and physical properties In-house CNC machining set-up for flow nozzles All precision measuring instruments for element bore checking In-house surface roughness checking machine

Design capabilities
Imported software flowel 4.0 for design of flow elements also have in-house developed software Experienced design engnieers with strong hold on design of flow elements Experts in carrying out manual calculations also when required as per BS1042, R.W. Miller, L.K. Spink, ISO 5167 All relevant standrds like ISO 5167, BS 1042, ISA RP3.2, ANSI B16.5, ANSI B16.36, ASME codes for pressure vessels Familiar with specifications of UOP, EIL, UHDE, PDIL and all leading consultants Well verse wth ASME codes to obtain WPS, PQR

Opposite End Support

Anubar is a dual chamber tube with multiple sensing ports on both the chambers i.e. upstream & down stream. This flow element when inserted into the flow stream produces boundary layer there by having High Pressure & Low Pressure gradient around the sensor body. The presence of HP & LP ports in that gradient helps it to sense the pressure in respective chambers & when this two respective tubings are connected to DP Transmitter it gives you a flow signal. Anubar is also called as averaging pitot tube used for large flow rate.
