Detailed Experience
Structural Engineering: Project and structural engineer on commercial, industrial, governmental, institutional, recreational and nuclear power facilities. Extensive experience with hot and cold formed steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures exposed to static and dynamic loading. Notable projects include the Norway Pavilion at Epcot Center and the Paces West Office Center with an elevated bridge connecting twin 17 story towers. Written software for the analysis of precast buildings, light gauge metal, floodwalls, wood columns subject to biaxial bending, masonry and concrete beams Developed cost saving base plate analysis procedure for the nuclear power industry Conducted training seminars entitled The Use of The AISC Manual of Steel Construction in the Nuclear Power Industry and The Use of Structural Epoxies Construction Management: Project Manager and Engineer on Construction Management and General Contracting projects ranging from $8 to $71.3 million. Projects included an R & D facility for AMOCO Performance Products Inc and Water Treatment facilities for various communities. Developed a company Administration Procedures Manual which establishes controls and procedures for successfully administering construction projects. Program Management: Assistant Vice President in charge of several facilities related projects for Delta Air Lines Inc. Projects involved the management of design and construction for tenant fit-up and telecommunications upgrade work at 106 of Deltas airport stations. Also oversaw the development and implementation of Delta design standards for facility planning, millwork, telecommunications, and the new corporate identity signage program.
