He used to buy cigarettes from Khulna and sell it to Dhaka, buy cloth of pants from Dhaka to sell in Chittagong, and shares from Chittagong to sell in Khulna. At the last of the year after getting admitted in Commerce College he went to Hong Kong. But his father wanted him to come back and complete his graduation. So in 1975 he came back. While coming back he brought different types of products with him to sell in the country. He used to buy products from Hong Kong and Singapore at that time and sell in Bangladesh. In 1975 he first brought a refrigerator at price 7,000 from Singapore and sold it to the proprietor Mr. Khabir Shaheb of Kakoli Press at price 16,000. He continued his flying business for about 2 years. He was interested in shipping line business and started it with partnership with one of his father-in-laws. But he could not make profit as expected. In 1980 he moved to Rajshahi again with his family. Here he started ice cream business which was inspired from Rony Ice cream of that time in Khulna. In 1981 he bought a place in BICIC area and started Baby Super Ice-cream. It was totally new in Rajshahi city at that time. He inspired from the ice cream business in Khulna and implemented it Rajshahi. For starting this he took loans of 3, 00,000 from Sanali Bank and invested some of his own money. The business made huge profit and within one year he got his 100% money back. After the huge success of ice cream business he thought about new business. It was the Chinese restaurant business. The concept was totally new at that time in Rajshahi city. In 1982 he started the first Chinese restaurant in whole north Bengal. The name that restaurant was Shantum. It gave him the expected return. The success of first restaurant inspired him to open another one. In 1984 he started a new one which was known as Nanking Chinese Restaurant. The starting capital was five to six lakhs for this restaurant. When people accepted the Nanking Chinese Restaurant he just closed the Shantum. It was in 1987. The community centre was in a rented house and SOS bought that house. They had to shift from that place in 1994 but there was enough compensation for them. In the
next year in 1995 they found an abandon hall which was under a trustee board. They rented it. At starting point here he had to spend approximately 10, 00,000. Some of this money came from bank loan. In 1998 he opened a shopping centre named Nanking Shopping Centre. He saw that here is big opportunity of business in the month of Ramadan during Eid. He also opened the first franchisee of Hallmark in Rajshahi in that year. In 1999 he bought another place from BICIC and started a dairy and poultry firm. Here he faced a problem. In Rajshahi there was no ready poultry feed. The business people were not eager enough to start business of ready mix food. All the poultry business people including him had to bring feed from Dhaka. It was not so profitable. In this situation he brought the first ready mix feed in Rajshahi. He opened the showroom of Aftab Ready Mix Feed in 2001. But unfortunately he had to close it in 2004 because of the problem in market management. In 2001 he also opened a beauty parlor beside the Nanking Restaurant which was fully operated by the trained tribal people. 2003 was a big year for his all businesses. He shifted his whole business in the name of Nanking Bazar in Munibazar. He rented a place from Zila Parishad in 2005. In this place he established the Nanking Darbar Hall in 2006. The Nanking Community Centre is also in the same compound. In 2008 he just expanded his business in his birth city in Khulna. Here he opened a branch of Nanking Beauty Parlor.
