5 Key Principles when working with correspondences
1. Find yourself in the magick and find the magick in yourself Seshet Find techniques and methods that work for you. Make your practice a deeply personal and spiritual experience. Remember we are all unique. Remember personal experience is different for everyone. If it does not resonate within you as a truth, find that which does. Modify!, Adapt!, Experiment & Experience.!! 2. Grow your own Tree Djehuti Have you ever seen 2 trees that are identical, even if the seed from which they grew both carried the same vibration? Use the Hebrew Qabalistic attributes and correspondences on the Tree of Life as your basic blueprint or map so you cant get lost, but the shades and colours (which represent your own personal set of Gods/Goddesses, Herbs, Stones etc.), should reflect who you are. Remember you are programming your own subconscious mind, so the correspondences you choose should make sense to you. 3. Be consistent when using correspondences Frater U.:D.: - in his book titled High Magic Using a different set of correspondences every time only serves to confuse the Subconscious and ultimately defeats the true will of the magician. In other words dont use amethyst to represent the Moon/Yesod in one spell and the planet Jupiter/Chesed in another. Be consistent! 4. Effectiveness is the Measure of Truth Shaman principle In other words: If it works its right also one of the laws of magick. Remember we do magick to achieve a result, it is always outcome based! It is only the Mad that expects different results by performing the same actions. 5. Dont believe everything you read, hear or see the first rule of Qabalah. In other words: Test everything. Perception is an illusion and 1% of the reality or big picture The 10 Sephirot(Worlds portrayed as spheres/circles) on the Tree are also the Veils of perception, which needs to be removed in order for us to truly see. In your quest to find your own set of correspondences that work for you (growing your own Tree), you are going to sometimes come across many conflicting opinions concerning correspondences. Test everything for your self to see what works. Which brings us back to statements 1, 2 and 4.
INTENT IS EVERYTHING OUTCOME IS ALL!!!
