Donostia – San Sebastian

Our school is located in a marvellous town called


San Sebastian. Our town has three fantastic
beaches, and two of them form a beautiful bay
which has an island named Santa Clara in the
middle. There are three mountains in our town
too, called Ulia, Igeldo and Urgull, although
they aren't very high.

There are lots of interesting things to do, such


as shopping, walking along the bay and swimming
in the sea. But the most typical thing to do here
is to go from bar to bar eating pintxos, little
snacks which are very typical here, with you
group of friends, also known here as Kuadrila.

Antigua-Luberri BHI:
Luberri is a secondary school, where students
from five different primary schools join. With
this we learn to socialise with unknown people.
Nowadays, our school has 716 students, from
which 410 are females and 306 are males.

Subjects studied:
Luberri High School gives more than one way to study your secondary or higher
education:

At first the most usual way to study secondary education is studying all the subjects
in basque. However, the school also offers another way which includes learning french
in other different subjects like Science, Art, Music and Society apart from the
subject of french.
Concerning the higher education, there are also two options to study it: the usual one,
studying all the subjects in basque and a new one, which gives you the option of
learning more english. The last one obliges to study a subject called “Science,
technology and society” and History in english.

Extra activities:

● Exchange programme with German students:


Once a year, some German students spend about ten days with second higher
education students and their families provide them accomodation.Then, our
students repeat that experience in Germany.
The aim of this project is to increase our knowledge about other different
cultures as well as improving other foreign languages.

● Guitar lessons for students:


Twice a week guitar lessons are
offert apart from the school
timetable.
This is a good way to learn playing
the guitar as well as having a good
time with other students.

● Computing and french lessons for


parents:
Luberri offers french and computing lessons for parents who want to know
more about using computers or learning a different language.
