ASSISTANT ENGINEERING GEOLOGIST/GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER I am applying for the position of an assistant engineering geologist as advertised on your companys website.

I am a final year post-graduate who is determined to pursue a career in engineering geology. My attached CV outlines the skills and experience relevant to this position. I would particularly like to highlight: analytical skills, demonstrated by my slope stability investigation project which involves analysing a wide variety of data. This included using numeracy skills attention to details, ground investigation as an engineering discipline, requires strong attention to details. It requires the ability to structure work coherently and communicate effectively. This skill is being developed further by my dissertation which demands higher levels of planning, organisation and problem-solving. computer literacy. I am competent using word-processing and applications software packages such as word, excel, PowerPoint, Database, Dips, plaxis and oasys. Team-work and interpersonal skills, through being as a technical mining assistant, quarrying engineer and during a group course work for some university modules. My work as a customer service assistant is further developing my oral communication skills.

I am determined to pursue a career in engineering geology. Therefore, I offer you my energy, enthusiasm and dedication. Working as an engineering geologist for a company that has been leading the engineering and design industry for over 30 years will be valuable in developing my skills to be successful in the industry.
