Creative tip FIMO soft „egg cups“

Step 1

Material:

To make 6 egg cups in 3 different colours you will need:

3 x FIMO SOFT in white (0), 1 block each of the colours apple green (50), mint (39) and
transparent green (504). In addition, you will need 1 sheet of glass to serve as a work surface, 1
craft knife, 1 rubber roller and several small wooden sticks.
Step 2

Mix 1 entire block of white with ? of a block of coloured FIMO SOFT. Repeat for all three colours.
This will leave you with 3 different pastel colours in varying shades of greeny blue. In order to
achieve a uniform colouring, roll the FIMO out again and again. (This is easier to do using a pasta
machine!). Roll out the finished mixture to an approx. 5 mm thick sheet. Use the pattern to cut out
the square shape. Then, using the craft knife, make star-shaped cuts (see pattern) in the middle of
the FIMO square. Turn the corners up using the wooden sticks. Push the corners far enough apart
for an egg to fit in the gap. In order to ensure that the square does not get misshapen, leave the
egg cup as it is on the sheet of glass and place in a pre-heated oven to harden for 30 minutes at
130°C.

After cooling, carefully remove the egg cup from the sheet of glass.

Tip

Cut along the star-shaped lines on the pattern in advance, place the pattern on the square of FIMO
and then go over the pre-cut star-shaped lines again with the knife.
