Rock Climbing 101 Fitness Class

Rock Climbing 101 will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-9:30pm at the UUM Sports Centre from October 1st through December 31st. The beginner rock climbing course aims to improve fitness and strength through a challenging but exciting workout that involves learning basic techniques on the new climbing wall. Participants should discuss plans with their doctor and wear comfortable clothes and bring water to the first class where registration will take place.

Increase your fitness level by learning basic rock climbing using the new UUM Gymnasium rock climbing wall. The pysical Education Department is offering Rock Climbing 101 as part of its Recreational Fitness Program. You will participate in a challenging class that will help you burn calories and increase your strength. Rock climbing results in an exciting and sometimes strenuous workout. The class will help you relieve stress, and you may notice increased flexibility, improved posture, and better muscle tone. Register for Rock Climbing 101 on the first night of class.
