Weekly Outline:
Activity session subject : Mothers Day Vocabulary: Holidays, mothers day, mother, mummy, mum, sunshine, care, love, happy, skies, grey, dear, father, grandmother, grandfather, child, daughter, son, baby, pregnant. Words to describe emotions how you feel about your mother eg: happy, loving etc. Use this opportunity to review family members. Making jasmine flowers from crepe paper for students to give to their mothers. Activities / songs / games: Writing messages to your mother for mothers day make simple poems and students can decorate cards to give to their mothers. Practice mothers day performance song: Mama, with actions and incorporating short spoken work sections from the poems we write.

Review Emotions we can talk about how students feel about their mother and their relationship. Family members interacts nicely with the mothers day theme, and should be weighted towards the matriarchal side of the family at this point.

Notes / parent follow up: Most families will be participating in a variety of activities for mothers day. Try to get children to talk about these things in English, and to discuss family relationships and what they should do for their mother at this time of year.
