St Thomas School Newsletter June 2011

The newsletter from St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School provided updates on upcoming events. The new classroom building will soon be completed and an unveiling ceremony for Year 4 students is planned. Year 3 students enjoyed making animations during a trip to the Quay Arts Centre. Years 3 and 4 performed country dances at a festival. This week, Years 1 and 2 will work with an outside artist to build a willow shelter on the school grounds. The newsletter also included the stars of the week and diary dates for upcoming trips and events like sports day, a summer fayre, and end of year mass and break. Newsletter 33
Monday 20th June 2011 Dear Parents/Carers

The new classroom will very shortly be completed!! We are hoping to have an unveiling ceremony for all parents and children of Year 4 next year and I will let you know the date as soon as possible. The Year 3 children had a wonderful time at the Quay Arts Centre on Thursday and produced some excellent animation that will be shown at the arts Centre. The year 3 and 4 children danced really well at the Country Dancing Festival on Tuesday, and it was lovely to see so many parents there supporting us and even dancing!! This week the children in year 1 and 2 will be working with an outside artist on Thursday and will be looking to start making a shelter in the school grounds made from willow!! We hope all the children and parents will be able to use this eventually, hopefully for shelter from the sun rather than the rain!!! With best wishes N. Bosworth
