What media institution would

distribute our product ?


The type of media institution that would distribute our product
would be Film Four this is because they are not a major media
institution. I do not think our film would make it to the cinema due
to lack of investment and equipment but I think that our product
could be shown on Film Four and could be produced as a DVD by
Film Four. After our feedback I think that this would be the most
suitable media institution to distribute our DVD.

I think that Film Four would be the best media institution to


produce our media product because our thriller will not be
professional enough to go into the cinema and will be produce
straight to DVD. Film Four have produced a lot of straight to DVD
films over the many years that they have been established.
Who Would be the audience for your media
product?
• Our target audience will be 15 – 25 we found
this out by constructing our questionnaire and
getting the results back. Also our thriller is a
very modern production this means that it will
be more attractive to a younger generation.
Also males will be more attracted to the media
product as in our questionnaire results we
found that men enjoy films with distress in
more than women.

How does our media product
represent particular social group ?
In our thriller we used a stereotypical stalker. Rather than a non-
generic main character. We did this by using a character which
you would associate with stalkers: Tall, hoody and strangely
clothed. We used his older friend who has a big frame. We
decided that he would be good to play the role which he was
willing to do. We didn’t have any older characters so they were
not represented also we had no female actresses who also were
not represented.
