Abortion: Pros and Cons Overview

This document discusses the pros and cons of abortion. It notes that half of women getting abortions are under 25, and 60% are never married. While the decision to abort is not usually impulsive, it is difficult and can potentially cause post-abortion trauma. Cons of abortion include the moral argument about choosing to end a life, potential psychological and physical risks. Pros include that the woman ultimately bears the physical burden of pregnancy and parenting, restricting abortion could increase unsafe illegal abortions, and the woman herself is best able to determine what is more traumatic.
