Embedded Software Developer


GENERAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Develop, test, and document software on a variety of embedded microprocessors.


Develop high-level software components used for interfacing with embedded
systems.
Interfacing embedded software to a variety of external custom hardware
components.
Assist in embedded software planning, architecting, documenting and configuration
management.
Assist in system integration of devices with embedded software.
Develop modular and reusable code.
Optimize code for performance and reliability.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Be a team player and fit into an experienced team of GEW developers


Be a self starter and take initiative on development work
Be willing to commit effort to reach milestones

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

B Sc Computer Science or B Engineering (software)


Experience with C/C++ in an embedded microprocessor environment
Experience with C/C++ in a PC based GUI environment
Knowledge of embedded operating systems (Embedded Linux, RTOS)
Knowledge of embedded hardware interfacing
Knowledge of TCP/IP network programming
