MECHANICAL

PUMP
Check condition and operation of pump,especially for signs of wear, corrosion or
damage.

Check and record flow,discharge and suction readings or pump shut off head
against performance curve.
* Calibrated gauge for noting pressures to be supplied by contractor.

Check condition and operation of associated valves and flexible connections,


especially for deterioration or leaks.

Check seal/s for condition and any leaks.

MOTOR
Check condition and operation of motor, especially for signs of any
overheating, wear, corrosion or damage.

PUMP and MOTOR


Check condition and operation of connection between pump and motor.
Check and clean exposed surfaces,gland,sump and pump housing.
Check condition and security of all fixings and mountings.
Check condition of paint or protective coating/s.

ELECTRICAL
Check condition and operation of all controls including:- isolating switch and conduit for security of mounting.
- all connections for security, tightness, contact and corrosion.
Check earth wiring continuity.
Record motor operating current draw and compare with rated output.

LINE STRAINER
Check condition and clean strainer.

Check condition and operation of condensate drain,tundish or drip tray

Record all results in log book.
