Biodiesel Optimization Using Taguchi Method

This document describes experiments conducted to optimize engine performance when operating on biodiesel blends using the Taguchi method. It includes 5 chapters that discuss the transesterification process used to produce biodiesel, a literature review on engine power, economy, and efficiency performance with biodiesel blends, the experimental setup using a Qualitek-4 software and test engine, analysis of the results to optimize brake thermal efficiency and volumetric efficiency, and conclusions. The experimental design used biodiesel-diesel blends, engine load, and temperature as control factors and evaluated their impact on performance metrics.
