Mobile Learning Strategies in Education

This document provides a matrix mapping various educational tools and strategies to Colorado academic standards, ISTE standards, Bloom's taxonomy, and principles of constructivism and gamification. It shows how mobile apps, games, and virtual simulations can be used to teach concepts in mathematics, reading/writing, social studies, and science. For example, the Money Mentor app helps students learn money management concepts, Motion Math improved student understanding of fractions, and virtual frog dissection allows students to experience dissecting a frog without harming animals. The document reflects on how mobile learning can engage students and cover standards in innovative ways that fit with how students live in a technology-focused society.

Other
Reflection: I am surprised at all the different ways mobile learning can be applied in the classroom. There are so many websites
and applications that can be used to cover different standards and subjects. I think mobile learning is a great way to engage
students and keep them motivated. Our students are growing up in a society where technology is all around them and this
should also include the classroom. It is our job as teachers to teach them content but also life skills/strategies they can use in the
future.
