Village of Riverside President Responds to Painting of Swastikas on


Private Property

Riverside Village President Ben Sells responded today to a vandalism incident


that took place on Christmas Eve involving the painting of swastikas on a
house under construction. "The Village of Riverside cannot comment on the
ongoing criminal investigation other than to say our Police Department
continues to aggressively pursue all leads." said Sells. "As to the acts
themselves, the only response they deserve is condemnation.

It is not

surprising they took place under the cover of darkness because they would
never stand the light of day in our community.

Riverside is an open and

welcoming place and acts of ignorance and hate could not be more out of
character for our Village."
