Why students
need science

Todays world is ever


21st Century
changing. To prepare kids
Skills in Science
for the world ahead of
them, it is important they
develop skills in technology, collaboration, communication,
health, and leadership. In science, your child will
constantly build the skills necessary to help him or her in
school and later in life. Students will be solving problems,
working in groups, using verbal and written communication,
and expanding their knowledge in prominent fields.
Science, and the other subjects in my classroom will help
your child develop the framework he or she needs to be
successful throughout life.

best learn science

What students will be doing in my


science class
With all the science units we do, students will
have several hands-on experiences that require
critical thinking, using evidence to support
conclusions, developing and performing fair
tests, and more! I will be teaching topics in
earth science, life science, physical science and
engineering. Students will learn about the
growth of plants by finding the perfect
conditions to grow their own plant. They will
develop the skills to make conclusions using
evidence by trying to match the weight and
sound of given mystery boxes. These are just a
