Article 2
In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following
acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a
national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
Killing members of the group;
Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to
bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Children with parents with leftist views were taken from them and given to other families.
Mothers held captive by the military got their babies taken from them without being able
to hold them.
People did not want to conceive any children due to the fact that they may also be
snatched from them at birth.

Aftermath
The population in general was left with a feeling of distrust
against armed forces.
Nothing was done towards the ones responsible for this atrocity
until the year 2005 when they were taken to trial for the
committed crimes.
The mothers and grandmothers of the 30,000 victims have
United to become one of the largest groups in the world in the
fight of human rights, till this day they search for the children
taken from their mothers.
"Genocide has occurred so often and so uncontested in the last
fifty years that an epithet more apt in describing recent events
than the oft-chanted "Never Again" is in fact "Again and
