Chocolate Pixies
Ingredients:
cup Margarine or Butter
4 oz. (4 squares) Unsweetened Chocolate
2 cups All Purpose or Unbleached Flour
2 cups Sugar
cup Chopped Walnuts or Pecans
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
teaspoon Salt
4 Eggs
Powdered Sugar (Confectioners)
Procedure:
1. In large saucepan over low heat, melt margarine (butter) and chocolate, stirring
constantly until smooth. Remove from heat; cool slightly.
2. Light spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
3. Stir in flour, sugar, walnuts, baking powder, salt, and eggs; mix well.
4. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate at least 1 hour for easier handling.
5. Heat oven to 300F.
6. Shape dough into 1 inch balls; roll each in powdered sugar, coating heavily.
7. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
8. Bake at 300F for 13 to 18 minutes or until set.
9. Immediately remove from cookie sheets.
10.Cool completely.
