BRAIN STRUCTURE
The major part of the brain include

cerebrum, cerebellum,medulla oblongata


and spinal cord.

INTRODUCTION
The brain is the most complex organ in the

human body. It is the centre of all the


peculiar characteristics which make man
unique.
The brain is protected inside a hard case
called skull.

FUNCTIONS
The nervous system is our bobys decision

and communication center.


The central nervous system is made of the
brain,the spinal cord and periphrals.
Nervous system consist of nerves.
Sensory nerves gives information from
environment.

DIFFERENT PARTS OF BRAIN


is the largest part of the brain.
The outer part of cerebrum is grey colured due
to absence of myelin. This is called grey matter.
Interior cerebrum is called white matter.
CEREBULLUM, the part that lies below the
cerebrum. It is the second largest part of brain.
MEDULLA OBLONGATA is a stem like part seen
close to the cerebullum, below the cerebrum.
The thalamus seen at the interior of the brain.

LOBES OF THE CEREBRAL


CORTEX
FRONTAL LOBE- associated with

reasoning,planning, parts of
speech,movement,emotions and problem solving.
PARIETAL LOBE- associated with movement,
orientation, recognizing,perception of stimuli.
OCCIPITAL LOBE- associated with visual
processing.
TEMORAL LOBE- associated with perception and
recognition of auditory stimuli,memory and
speech.

BRAIN CANCER
Brain cancer can have a wide variety of

symptoms including
seizeres,sleepness,confusion,behavioural
changes. Not all brain tumour are cancerous
and benign tumours can result in similar
symptoms.
Brain tumours are abnormal growth of cells
in the brain.
In general benign tumours is less serious
than a malignant tumour.

BRAIN DISEASES AND


PROBLEMS
MENINGITIS: An inflamation of the lining

around the brain or spinal cord,usually due


to infection,neck stifness,head ache.
BRAIN ABSCESS: A pocket of infection in
the brain,usually caused by bacteria.
SEIZURES: Included in the seiszure
category of brain disease is Epilepsy, a
condition charactrised by recureing
seizures caused by abnormal and
excessive electrical activity in the brain.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR


BRAIN HEALTHY

Avoiding damage.
Keep the blood flowing.
Effects of diet.
Eat healthy food.
