Book Report: Writing Format

Paragraph #1: Introduction


_____Write a sentence stating the title and author of the book.
_____Write a sentence explaining the genre (fiction, mystery,
etc.)
_____Write three or four sentences that briefly explain the main
idea
of the book.
Paragraph #2: Setting
_____Write a sentence stating the time and place of the story.
_____Write a sentence explaining the imagery (what the setting
looks like.)
_____Write three or four sentences explaining how the setting
effects
the main character.
Paragraph #3: Characters
_____Write a sentence giving the names of the major characters.
_____Write four to five sentences which describe the personality,
appearance and conflict of the main character.
_____Write at least two sentences describing the relationship of
minor characters to the main character.
_____Write a sentence that explains which character was your
favorite and why.
Paragraph #4: Summary
_____Write seven to ten sentences explaining the plot of the
