The Difference between the IOGT and Other

Templar Orders
The principal difference between the IOGT and other contemporary Templar
Orders is reflected in the rites, practices and studies taught within the IOGT which are
designed to awaken and stabilize the Gnostic experience within each member of the
Order. Each Templar order is founded upon continuing some element of the early
Templars, such as protecting pilgrims coming and going from the Holy Land. This has
been one of the raison detres of the SMOTJ. The IOGT was founded to revive the
Gnostic practices and ideologies of the original Templars and to complete their long
range goal of uniting East and West spiritual traditions into a planetary spirituality.
