Statement on the Homecoming of Jesse


Jackson Jr. from the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.
CHICAGO I spoke to my son at his home in Washington,
D.C., this morning and it was the best Fathers Day gift of all.
I have wonderful children whom I love very much, and Jesse
Jr. is the father two of my 10 grandchildren. My son is strong,
healthy, and happy to be home with his family again. Please
respect his privacy at this time while he reunites with his
Washington and Chicago families.
This ordeal has been very difficult for all of us, but our faith
in God remains strong. My son is a remarkable, brilliant
young man who assisted others with their legal issues while
he was away and will continue to be a great asset to his
family, community and our struggle.
