The Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. will be joining the people of Kankakee County calling for the
continuation of reliable, dependable high quality health care in Kankakee County. Reverend
Jackson shares the concern and dedication that the humanity of society is measured in how
health care is extended to the least of these.
In a time when the most vulnerable are in need of health care, in a place like Kankakee,
where people experience the deepest disparities of health care, the people cannot be placed
at risk by major corporations boards that are far from the on the ground, frontline needs.
Decisions are being made that disrupt the continuity of care. Good business cannot override
common sense and human compassion, Said Reverend Jackson.
