Reasoning Report
The theme for my restaurant is based on Greek mythology specifically the creatures of Greek
mythology. Since grade 8, I have taken an interest in the stories of the Greek mythology creatures
therefore I chose this theme.
My restaurant will succeed as it not
only provides customers with an outstanding meal made from some of the most recognized Greek
chefs in the world, my customers will also have a great knowledge of some of the creatures. To
succeed in giving customers a great knowledge, there are iPads set up all over the restaurant
where customers can view whatever creatures that interest them.
The atmosphere of my restaurant is fine dining and affordable. My customers do
not have to wear a special attire to dine at my restaurant. Instead, my customers will enjoy a great
meal with great service from staff. Also, the prices of my restaurant is not extravagant, it is under
$25 per dish.
My goal is to provide customers with
the experience of luxury in a restaurant but at reasonable prices. I also hope to share my interest,
Greek mythology creatures, with the customers. Overall, I hope my customers will make
memories with family and friends as well as learning about Greek mythology creatures.

EXTERIOR
The restaurant is inspired by the theme of mythology creatures.
As shown, the entrance is guided by artificial fire that gives
customers the vibe of heat and danger.
The windows and door is inspired by the vintage feel that is
automatically distinguished through mythology.
When one thinks of mythology creatures, the Griffin is the
automatic creature that one thinks oftherefore I chose the
Griffin to represent the outside my restaurant as they are also seen
as powerful and dangerous.
Entrance
The door of the entrance is inspired by the heavy duty and mysterious that most old Greek buildings have.
As well, the door has some window slotsI wanted to give the building some modern features.
When walking to the entrance, it is very unique as the customers are guided by artificial flames that can be
touched as it is safe.
There are also two Griffins on each side to welcome customers as their wings flap when they sense
someone walking by.
To learn information about the Griffins, there is an iPad on each statue that offers videos, apps, information
and much more on the Griffins.
Dining Area
The dining area of the restaurant will be somewhat
orangethe colour that is given off of the torch
lighting.
There are 80 tables on one level (there are three
levels, this is the bottom level) in my restaurant.
The dining area measures at about 6000 square feet
per level therefore giving each table a great capacity
between another.
As shown, each table is unique as it represents a
different Greek mythology creature and its story
through the iPad.
The colours of the floor is chosen as it blends in with
the appearance of the dining area. As well, I want the
dining area to have some sort of modern vibe to it
therefore I chose marble flooring.
Accessories and Dcor Items
The restaurants cooking method
will be similar to Korean BBQ;
however, instead of having raw
food to cook, the food will be
cooked and given to the
customers to put on top of this
stove-like feature to warm the
food or make the food well done.
This feature will be on top of the
tables.
The restaurant mostly
relies on lit torches for
the lighting. There are
over 3500 torches
throughout the restaurant.
One very unique fact is
that each torch was made
from old Greek buildings.
These chairs replicate the ancient
Greek klismo chair. However, with
its uncomfortable structure, the
replicated chairs have settings to
change the positioning of the chair
to please each customers needs.

As mentioned before, there
is an iPad on every table and
on every interesting
structure to provide
customers with information.
The restaurant has different types of
art, potteries etc shipped in monthly
from museums to use as part of the
display case.
Every dish is served through this method;
this not only keeps the food warm but
also keeps the customers engaged. If food
is not well done to customers liking, he
or she can put it on top of the stove-like
feature on every table. *the fire is
protected through a clear glass.

The forks are inspired by
Poseidon's trident. The
fork is 24 carat gold
plated.
The knives are inspired by the
ancient knives used from hundreds
of years ago.
Everyday a new shape is formed
with the cloths; some days it might
be folded in to a mythology
creatures and some days it might
be just folded in to a plain and
proper way.
Bathroom
The bathroom relies on lit torches for lighting.
The colour choices for the bathroom is modern and also has a vintage feel to it.
The faucet is a sea serpent that has led lights therefore the water is blue.
The sink is made from a black marble giving therefore giving the sink a fancy appearance.
The toilet is simple and modern.
The floor has mostly neutral colours but also has some green, blue and yellow spots to it .
Employee Uniforms
Employees dress like Greek
gods and godess.
For both waiters and
waitresses, there are required
to wear gladiators that have a
clear plastic over it for safety
reasons.
Of course, they also wear the
recognizable white dress-like
outfit with the cape and the
headband.
Extra
Every two hours there is an informative small video about a Greek mythology
creature.
The video is played on to a white screen that measures 18 m wide and 6m long.
The is played by using a 3D projector that does not require 3D glasses.
