WRITING REFLECTION # __________

Mrs. Cracchiolo (2014-2015)

PIECE OF WRITING: Human Rights
In class writing OR out of class writing

1. Looking at the feedback, what/where do you think you did particularly well?
One are I did particularly well in was my ability to connect the article to the topic of human rights.

2. Looking at the feedback, what do you think was the area you need the most improvement in and why? (Be
Specific)
I did not comply to all aspects given by the prompt. I left out my connection to Rachels Challenge as well
as a title for this essay.

3. Did the loop cycle work for you? Why or why not?
I like the loop cycle because it allowed me to build on a thesis statement while still keeping on topic.

4. Body paragraph construction is the most important part of your paper since this is the area that uses
evidence to back up your claims. Looking at your paper and feedback, rate yourself overall on the
following elements that correspond to the loop structure.

5. The big question: based on your comments, checklist where you rated yourself on body paragraph
structure, and overall score, what NEW GOAL do you have for your next writing assignment? In other
words, what skills will you try to focus on in the future and why?
GOAL:
I would like to get better about following the prompts given by the rubric.

WHY:

I missed out on some key connections I was supposed to make in this essay. I was running short on time
when I was writing this and I completely forgot to include the segment on Rachels Challenge. Without this
sections, my piece is incomplete and the meaning is focused strictly on one aspect of the rubric.

6. Any other feedback youd like to share??
