Tibia-Fibula Fracture Compensation Trends

This document summarizes past court awards for fractures of the tibia and fibula bone in Singapore and Malaysia. Specifically, it notes that in 1999 the Singapore court awarded S$25,000 for such a fracture, while a 2000 Malaysian court case awarded RM30,000. More recent cases show the awards for this type of injury have been increasing, such as a 2003 Malaysian case awarding RM45,000 for a tibia-fibula fracture with 2cm shortening. Two additional 2003 Malaysian cases awarded RM50,000 for the same fracture with 1cm shortening in each case.
