2) CREATION OF CLASS
In varient configuration we use class to group the charecterstic that describe the
configuirable material.
We need to links class to configurable material so that we allow material to be
configured by using charectersitc of classes.
Class have different types here class type 300 ( Varients) supports Variant
configuration.
Create Class T code CL01
Enter Class name, class type as 300
then assign Both charecterstic to class ZSA
3) CREATION OF CONFIGURABLE MATERIAL
Material with different charecterstic or feature and option is know n as
Configurable material.
Configurable material either created in material type KMAT or they are given
indicator configurable material in material master basic data-2.
Item catagory Group will be 0002
Class type 300
Create material and assign class type 300 to it, then assign class ZSA to material.
Material Code TEST-VC
4.CREATION OF CONFIGURATION PROFILE.
T CODE CU41
Each configurable object must have configuration profile, it controls the
configuration process in sales order.
We maintain the configuration profile for the configuration object to define the
central setting for the configuring the object, we can control all the option display
object and scope of charecterstic on the value of assignmenet screen.
Enter priority , profile name, class type
select profile click on go to --- profile detail then config intital screen
select process as SALES ORDER (SET) AND BOM APPLICATION AS
SD01
DEPENDENCY
It describe the inter dependency between charecterstic and its value and it control
which componenet are to be selected from bill of material.
Use- In VC , we use dependency to control combination of varinets. This prevent
combination of varinets whihc are not allowded.
Dependency also select exactly the right BOM component and operation to
produce variant.
There are 2 ways to create dependency
1) T code CU01
2) we can directly create dependency in charectersitc it self
Go to transection CT04select value-- Extra--- Object dependencyeditor.
DEPENDENCY EDITOR.
Repeat procedure for all above values if required.
4)PRICING AND CONDITION RECORD.
In T Code VK11 we need to maintain condition record for basci price of the
material for the condition type PR00.
Same here VK11 we need to maintain condition record for all charecterstics
values . In the condition type VA00.
Maintain pricing for each varient.
5) CREATION OF SALE BOM.
Create Material master for each componenet required.
T Code -CS01
enter Material TEST-VC, Plant , and BOM usage as 5
in initial screen enter BOM componenet and quantities.
Select Component go to Extra--- Object Dependency--- Editor
select dependecny type Selection Condition
and Enter Syntax
6) SALES ORDER CREATION
T CODE-VA01
CHARECTERSTIC VALUE ASSIGNMENT.
For Charecterstic BAG SA value 1 selected which is liner so system picked variant
condition as 1.
system will pick item catagory as TAC and shedule line catagory CP.
As per varient value selection system explodes the sales order BOM and picks
BOM componenet which will be used.
