Meet Miss Courtney:

I got my Bachelors degree
from Flagler College in
Elementary Education.
You can contact me at
(850)-398-3880 with any
questions you may have. My
email is
[email protected].
I am able to meet 30
minutes before and after
school, or we can schedule
a conference for your
convenience.

Im so thrilled to have your

children in my classroom this
year and I am looking forward
to getting to know your child.
We are going to have so much
fun in 3rd grade this year, I
cant wait to get started. First, I
am a Flagler College graduate
with an Elementary Education
bachelors degree. I have
learned quite a bit from my
students over the years and
cant wait to see what my new
students have in store for me.
Your child should bring home
his or her homework folder
every night. This folder includes homework I may have
assigned, work he or she may
not have finished in class,
important information for the
parents, or any paperwork that
I may need you to fill out and
return to me. We dont have
too much going on this month
since we are just getting
started and getting the hang of
everything. We do have a book
fair that we will be having from
September 24th until the end
of the month. I will take my

students on the 24th, and it

will also be open the 24th-26th
from 5pm-8pm for you to
attend. You can also send
money with your child any day
till the end of the month if you
would like.
We have spelling test every
Friday, on the words that I
send home with your child the
Friday before. We do activities
with these words as well as
studying them at home
throughout the week. Our first
spelling test will not be until
the 15th of September, just so
my students will have some
time to get the hang of things
before I start throwing tests
around.
I also like to have initial conferences with all my parents to
get to meet and discuss anything about your child. I will be
sending home a slip with your
child in the next week with the
time your conference will be
on the 16th. If the date and
time is problematic for you,

please contact me so we can

work together to get a meeting set up.
I also sent home a packet that
has very important papers that
I will need you to fill out and
return back to me as soon as
possible. These papers include
volunteer sign-ups for field
trips and activities in class,
emergency contact information, health forms, and others. Please get those back to
me as soon as possible.
I look forward to working with
your child and getting to know
him or her. Ive been teaching
for 4 years now and meeting
all my students is one of the
most exciting times for me.
Thank you so much for all your
cooperation and help. I would
also like to thank you in advance for working with your
daughter or son at home with
material and for any volunteers
that may want to help in our
classroom.

Wildlife Zoo Field Trip:

We will be taking a class field
trip to the Wildlife Zoo on
September 30th. We will be
learning about all the different
animals that will be exhibited in
the zoo in our science class, so
I figured it would be a cool
way to be able to get out of
the classroom for a little bit. I
will of course need some chaperones and would love your

help. If you are interested in

volunteering, I will be sending
home a form to fill out and
sign as soon as you possible.
We will be leaving at 8:30am
and will be returning before
school ends at 2:00pm. The
student can bring his or her
lunch if they like but lunch will
be provided as well. You will
be able to check your child out

if you are chaperoning after

the trip is finished. Thank you
so much for your cooperation.
