JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for development and maintenance of the database environment. Responsible for resolving
database related problems through his exposure to various tools.

Design
Provide continual database system maintenance and support.
Work with Developers to deliver a guaranteed level of database and
application performance to end users
Is responsible for the set up, support and administration of project
environment.
Responsible to write database scripts for build and release and execute them
Responsible to manage third party vendor in handling any support issues
Utilize and adhere to current best practices standards of administration
Managing, troubleshooting and resolving database related problems
Designs and create basic data models
Designs and create basic strategies for back up and recovery
Designs centralised management strategies
Planning & tracking
Documentation
Coaching
Participates and helps team in data model, database architecture/ code
reviews of other team members components, assist in test plans and results.
Vendor Management
Build strong business relationships with third-party partners and/or vendors as
Identify & escalate issues that might delay the work.
To report progress and issues to the track lead/ Manager in a timely manner.
In particular, to relay issues that might impact on quality or the ability to deliver
to timescales or estimates
Maintains and updates the infrastructure and operational support
documentation
