I P Project Term 1 : Community

The arpillera that I created a couple days ago addresses conflicts in my community by
showing a graph about the ferguson incident that triggered due to an African American that was
murdered by a caucasian police officer. It shows that if you are a person with any type of color
in your skin, then youre technically a target to others. Whether youre a scientist, a football
player, or just successful in general you are a target to this society. Ways in which my arpillera
relates to the study of Chile and Pinochet is that the people of Chile were taken as prisoners and
also were being executed without trial. This and the Ferguson incident can be similar because
there were people during the situation that were injured and attacked for no legitimate reason.
Though people werent actually killed because the cops were using rubber bullets instead of real
ones, still innocent people from my perspective were being harassed.
To be part of a society is to be part of something that is usually popular compared to
somebody that is part of a group that can be labeled as an outcast. Or you can participate in a
society by being a follower or kiss ass. Example look at Hitler, the bastard responsible for
millions of lives perishing. Plenty of people followed him which created this society which was
called Nazi. With the propaganda and the way Hitler forced people to believe what he believed,
the majority of Germany were considered nazis; a society that targets other races if they werent
German. These are ways in which individuals can contribute within societies.
