I was born in Bucharest. = Sunt nscut in Bucuresti.

He was the first US president.
He was the first president of the USA.

Quite /kuait/ = destul de
Quiet /kuaiat/ = linistit

It was his thirteenth birthday.
He was thirteen.

How many people were at the party?
There were thirty people at the party.

Who wasnt at the party?
His brothers werent there.
Why werent they there?
They werent there because they were in the USA.
What was the weather like? = Cum a fost vremea?
It was hot. = A fost cald.

How was the weather? -> expresia nu e corecta

What was the food like? = Cum a fost mancarea?
What was the teacher like?
What was the hotel like?

What were the people like? = Cum au fost oamenii?
They were nice and friendly.

Why was it a special day?
Because England won the World Cup. (win / won)

20 de oameni au fost la petrecere.
Twenty people were at the party.

Au fost 20 de oameni la petrecere.
There were 20 people at the party.

In What year were you born?
I was born in 1982.
