Riverside Police Arrest Battery Suspect

Riverside Police arrested one man for battery related to a stabbing incident at a home on Byrd Road. Felipe Herrera, 31, of Chicago, was charged with misdemeanor battery for punching a man who was protecting a 45-year-old stabbing victim. Riverside Police make one arrest in a battery case at home where stabbing occurred
Police charge one Chicago resident with misdemeanor battery

On Monday, August 4, 8:30 a.m., Riverside Police returned the 500 Block of Byrd Road to search for a
suspect wanted on a misdemeanor battery complaint stemming from a disturbance that took place at a
home on the 500 Block of Byrd on Sunday, August 3 at 12:37 a.m.
Officers located the suspect, Felipe Herrera, in the residence and took him into custody on signed
complaints.
Herrera had threatened, and then punched a 31 year old male who had attempted to protect a stabbing
victim (45-year-old male) who had been stabbed with a broken beer bottle.
On Monday police arrested Felipe E. Herrera, 31, of the 6000 Block of South Talman Avenue in
Chicago and charged him with one count of misdemeanor battery.
Riverside Police are still searching for an aggravated battery suspect and are currently working with
Chicago Police Department in an attempt to locate that suspect.
