Mechanical test
Operating test at -25 "C
On-load tap changer types: V 200
The test was performed in accorc iiance with IEC Standard
214/1989, clause 8.5.1. on tap changer V I11 200 A - 60 - 10 19
W/G.
As the tested tap changer V I11 200 A - 60 - 10 19 W/G is from
the sequence of view of the Same mechanical design as all
other tap changers of the V 200 Programme, this operating test
at -25 "C is applicable to the whole V 200 programme.
The test was carried out in the oil vessel of the selector
switch, filled with transformer oil Shell Diala D. The tempera-
ture dependancy of the viscosity of said oil is shown in Fig.
1. The measuring points of the temperature are to be Seen form
Fig. 2.
The selector switch was operated by a motor drive MA 9 in a
step-by-step movement, running time 2.2 sec.
The switching sequence was registered in all three elements of
the selector switch by an oscillograph.
Prior to the test at room temperature, three switching opera-
tions in each switching direction were recorded by an oscil-
lograph. 100 operations were made and recorded oscillographi-
cally at an oil temperature of - 25 "C. The first and last 10
operations were recorded at 1,000 mm/sec. for the evaluation of
the switching sequence time. All other operations for the pur-
Pose of checks were recorded at 50 mm/sec. Table 1 shows the
results.

TYPE TEST REPORT
All switching operations were correct.
The selector switch type V 200 thus meets the IEC Recommenda-
tion.
