Directors Note
Dixie Lullaby is one of my favorite plays for young actors because it fulfills both my desire to teach about a challenging era in our nations history that is complex and not easy to understand, and it challenges my actors to create characters that do not portray the most flattering or positive traits, yet are human and multilayered. Our rehearsal period has been tumultuous, just as this period of history was. We have come out better people because of it. Thank you for being here. Enjoy the performance.

Cast and Crew Biographies
Ashley Tegan/Pittypat Smith: Ashley Tegan is a junior at BHS. This is her first major role in a production. She is a member of FFA, Burley Special Olympics Partners Program, Drama Club, and is the pianist for the Bel Cantos choir. In April of the year she was awarded the maestro award from the Heritage Festivals in Seattle, Washington for her piano playing abilities. She would like to think her mother for keeping up with her busy schedule. Tegan Durfee/ SueSue Hartley: Tegan's first role was, (with a little backstage make-up magic), the overly busty, and easily angered Ms. Cowper in Cash on Delivery a little under two years ago. Since then she has sought out character rolls from a crazy boat dock lady, to a religious Swedish nurse and now, given the chance to try out her beloved southern accent as Sue-Sue, she couldn't be more excited. A senior this year, Tegan is excited to graduate, and then move on to culinary school and fulfill the dream of owning her own cafe in sunny Seattle, Washington. Her dream of marrying Robert Downey Jr. will have to go on hold for a bit. Tegan wants to thank her Great Grandmother Edris for the love of the theatre and the wonderful support of her family, who can actually withstand her reciting lines in a southern accent at midnight.
Clancy Crane/Ellis Gates: A junior at BHS, this is Clancys first play. His other hobbies include playing the guitar, bass guitar and singing with the BHS Bel Cantos Choir. Trevor Wells/Reverend Earl L Faulkenberry: Trevor J Wells is a sophomore at BHS where he takes part in Art Club, Drama Club, and Bel Cantos. He has been in Drama for 2 years and was in the Oakley Valley Arts Council's production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers as Zeke. He enjoys spending time participating in countless activities such as singing, writing poetry, eating, and cooking. Trevor wants to thank his wonderful teacher Mrs. Janie Hudgens and his parents, Dave and Candi for raising him right. He wishes to say, "Don't be a broccoli eating liberal Yankee. Just don't!" Rick Reyes/James Reynolds: Ricky Reyes is a senior member of the BHS Drama Department. He is the current VP of the Drama Club and makes sure that Tegan does her job. (Can't have her slacking off now!) He previously played rookie police officer Elmer Sweeney in Night of January 16th. Rick sang 'Blood In the Water' for the Broadway show Legally Blond, during the 2013 Spring Cabaret Show. Reyes also marches the bass drum in the BHS Marching Band Drumline. He is VP of the Art Club and is an active member if the National Honors Society. He plans to get through the rest of his senior year and pursue his dream of becoming a fashion designer. Get ready New York City here comes..... Devin Loveland/Jonathan Davis: Devin is a sophomore at BHS, where he is involved in Cross Country, Tennis, BSOPP, and BPA. He played Pip in Beauty and the Beast prior to playing Jonathan. He would like to thank his
