The story is about a spoiled little monkey that wants everything it sees, including a peacock's feathers, a rabbit's long ears, and even the moon. When the little monkey demands the moon from its mother, she tries to use a stick to fish it out of a body of water, but falls in instead. The moral of the story is that parents should not pamper their children too much or it will cause them trouble.

Good morning, my dear teachers and friends.

Today, I would like to tell you a story entitled The Little Monkey Wants The Moon. There was once a spoilt little monkey. It wanted everything it saw. One day, the little monkey saw a peacock. The peacock had beautiful feathers. The little monkey began to cry because it wanted the beautiful feathers. The little monkeys mother saw it crying. So, she went to see the peacock to ask for a feather. The little monkey tied the peacocks feather to its tail. He ran here and there happily. On another day, the little monkey saw the rabbits long ears. The little monkey cried, I want those big ears! I want rabbits ears! The rabbit was very scared and ran away. From that day, no one wanted to play with the little monkey. One night, the little monkey saw the moon high up in the sky. The little monkey shouted, Mother, I want the moon! The mother monkey said, The moon is too far away. I cant reach the moon. The little monkey started crying again. The mother monkey had an idea. She used a stick to fish out the moon in the water. Suddenly, the branch of the tree broke. Splash! The mother monkey fell into the water. What a pity! The moral of the story is we should not pamper our children because they will bring trouble to their parents. Thank you.
