LAB INSTRUCTIONS
TUTORIAL 1: Sketching and Basic Operations

Tutorial Objectives

• Learn about the components of the Unigraphics User Interface.


• Go through the basic steps to create a sketch, part, assembly and drawing.
• Learn to manipulate the graphical display with zoom, pan, and rotate functions.
• Learn to use layers and to change the display of an individual object.
• Practice 2-D sketching and constraining techniques.

Working with Sketches
Dragging and Animating a Sketch
Finding an Alternate Solution

Complete the following parts of the online tutorial Design NX Essentials:

Displaying Parts
Common Tools

Deliverables
Email the following parts to [email protected] by May 11. Part file names must start
with your user name as shown in Table 1.
