Understanding Christian Identity

The poem expresses that saying "I am a Christian" is not meant to convey pride or strength, but rather humility and weakness. It acknowledges that Christians are not perfect, but struggle with sins and need God's guidance. Christians admit their flaws and need for God's love and strength to overcome their challenges.

When I Say, I Am a Christian

When I say, I am a Christian, Im not shouting, I am saved; Im whispering, I get lost, Thats why I chose this way. When I say, I am a Christian, I dont speak of this with pride; Im confessing that I stumble And need someone to be my guide. When I say, I am a Christian, Im not trying to be strong; Im professing that Im weak And pray for strength to carry on. When I say, I am a Christian, Im not bragging of success; Im admitting I have failed And cannot ever pay the debt. When I say, I am a Christian, Im not claiming to be perfect; My flaws are too visible, But God believes Im worth it. When I say, I am a Christian, I still feel the sting of pain; I have my share of heartaches Which is why I seek His name. When I say, I am a Christian, I do not wish to judge; I have no authority; I only know Im loved.
