Tutorial] Evelina Tutorial : Evelina Level : Beginner Technique : Right Angel Weave

Equipment: - Seed beads 15/0 (Miyiki 24kt Gold Plated) - Seed beads 11/0 (Matsuno Metallic Bronze) - Seed beads 8/0 (Miyuki Galvanised Gold) - Pearl 4 mm. (Swarovski Light Blue and Powder Rose)

- Nymo or your favorite thread. - Needle It doesn't mean I want to use the most expensive seed beads here or something. It's just I don't not have 15/0 galvanised gold at that moment. And I'm not sure about the color name for Matsuno 11/0. The pack I bought was without the label. lol The main technique is right angel weave. The peyote clasp will be covered in the next tutorial. 1.

On the comfortable length of thread, add four 11/0 seed beads. Sew to the first seed bead (red arrow) to form a ring. Leave the tail around 6 inches. 2.

Add two 11/0 seed beads, one 8/0 seed bead and three 11/0 seed beads. 3.

Sew to the 8/0 seed bead (red arrow) to form a ring. Then, add six 11/0 seed beads. 4.

Sew to the third seed beads (red arrow) from the previous step. Add two 11/0 seed beads, one 8/0 seed bead and three 11/0 seed beads. 5.

Sew to the 8/0 seed bead (red arrow) to form a ring. Add two 11/0 seed beads. And sew to the first 11/0 seed bead (blue arrow). 6.

Add one 15/0 seed bead, one pearl and one 15/0 seed bead. Sew to the 11/0 seed bead (red arrow) at the opposite side. 7.

Add one 15/0 seed bead and sew to the pearl. Add one 15/0 seed bead and sew to the 11/0 seed bead (red arrow). 8.

Don't worry if you feel that your work is a little floppy. This is the nature of right angle weave. You can sew to all the beads to tighten them up or pull your thread more tightly. Sew to the 11/0 seed bead (red arrow). 9.

Repeat step 2 to 5 to make a base. 10.

Now we add 15/0 and pearl as we did in step 6 and 7. 11.

Make around 13 or 14 pieces. And make two rows. We will connect them together. 12.

Cut the new thread. Add one 8/0 seed bead and sew to the lowest 11/0 seed bead of the first row (red arrow). 13.

Add one 8/0 seed bead and sew to the highest 11/0 seed bead of the other row (red arrow). 14.

Sew to all the four seed beads again to tighten them. Exit your thread at the 8/0 seed bead (red arrow). 15.

Add three 11/0 seed bead. Sew to the 8/0 seed bead (red arrow). 16.

Sew to the 11/0 seed bead and exit your thread at the right 11/0 seed bead (red arrow). Add one 11/0 seed beads, one 8/0 seed bead and one 11/0 seed bead. 17.

Sew to the 11/0 seed bead (red arrow). 18.

Sew to the 8/0 seed bead (red arrow). And sew to the highest 11/0 seed bead of the second row (blue arrow). 19.

Add one 8/0 seed bead. Sew to the lowest 11/0 seed bead of the first row (red arrow). And sew to the 8/0 seed bead (blue arrow). 20

Repeat right angle weave from step 15 - 19. If you feel that your stitch is loose, you can sew back to tighten them. The peyote clasp will be covered in the next tutorial. Or you can just make the ring of six to eight 11/0 seed beads to add jumprings and your favorite clasp. Happy Beading~
