The Bean Trees: Quote Analysis Guide

The document provides a chart with quotes from the book "The Bean Trees" paired with inferences about the quotes. On the left side are quotes from the book with their corresponding page numbers. On the right side are inferences without page references. The task is to fill in the yellow boxes by either writing a quote from the book that supports the inference on the right, or writing an inference based on the quote on the left. This pairs elements from the story with analyses to better understand characters and events.

If there is a quote on the left side of the chart, write (in the yellow box on the right side of the chart) an inference based upon that quote. (Page numbers for quotes are given in parentheses.) On the right side of the chart, some inferences are written. If there is an inference on the right side of the chart, find a quote from The Bean Trees that would support that inference.
